My laptop keeps shutting off at random, what is it?

My computer is fairly new, and I try to keep it cool by letting the fan remain unblocked, though I don't know if the fan is dist-free, and I don't know how to check that. I've run it through plenty of anti-virus scans, all coming up with a "no viruses detected" but it will still randomly shut off at times. My power supply is always full or almost full and it usually only shuts off while it's charging. Is it possible I'm over-charging, and this is the cause? After its random shut-offs, I just wait a few minutes and restart it, and it generally works just fine afterward. I'm not sure whether or not it's a huge problem, but I'd like to avoid a random shut-off at a time where my work is not yet saved, like if I'm writing or editing a photo. I was at the beach (Gulf Coast) and was teaching someone how to surf. As I was walking her in I fell into a large pit. I went from thigh deep water to neck deep. As I tried to get out of there I felt something hard brush against my ankle. I thought it was a rock so I didn't move but then I felt a sting. as long as your going with an external volt meter then you can disregard the old wiring at the regulator...that is if your using a internally regulated alternator. you should have a main charge wire [off the back of your alternator] & 2 small terminal,s...one marked F1 & the other marked F2. the F1 is the field charge terminal which only need,s a momentary flash charge to energise the field...it will then produce a back charge that must be addressed...originally G.M. used a resistor to solve this. you can do the same but I would use a diode instead [ allowing a charge in but not out] this would be installed in the field [ F1] wire before the alternator. use the F2 wire to feed your voltmeter. & of coarse hook the main charge wire to your positive terminal. if your still using the old style solenoid [ with one main terminal & 2 small one,s] then you can feed the ignition from there rather than from the ignition switch. just make sure you use the terminal marked with a "I" for ignition...best of luck!

Computer Wont start, eventhough fans/disk/power all runs?

My PC was turning off a few times and wouldn't start up till you unplugged the Power cord and pluged it back in, The PC would do this 2 to 3 times a week, over a ~2 month period. Though it was power supply problem. But recently my PC started doing this again, and I would turn on My PC, and I would hear all fans/Dist drive work, and all lights on. I was able to starrt up the PC about 2 times with me having to restart my PC about 10-20 times b4 it went through and Actually STARTED the program. And on my third shut off the System wont start up, even though all lights/fans/ ect are running. I did replace the power supply, but that didnt resolve the issue. Engine feels like its misfiring?

I Have a 1995 Ford Taurus... Last summer i blew the head gasket after using the " Block Seal " Which by the way worked great it got my car from california back to New York where i had a chance to replace the gasket... i replaced the head gasket and all the gaskets above it and alot of other parts including the spark plugs and wires... im only listing the ignition parts there are a crap load of other parts... but when i replaced the head gasket i did NOT replace the head bolts... so after a few months when my car started running this way and i was smelling and leaking coolant to a place i could not see i already suspected the HEAD gasket, I took it apart again and put it back together again with new head bolts and its still misfiring i seem to have a little more power but not much and it also recently started making a clciking noise in the engine... Any ideas anyone? New Dist Cap and rotor? u think its a fuel issue?? off yeah new Fuel pump! I dont know any more... Let me know what you think! Thank you

The car is a '68 Firebird with the original, but fairly recently rebuilt Pontiac 5.7L 350, 4 speed trans, upgraded to 4 BBL carb/intake, and HEI distributor from a '75 (previous owner installed, don't know much about it). This has only started in the last month, and is not really all that bad, however, it's enough for me to take notice. Typically, it only seems to start happening after the engine has been running a while and is completely warm...the most noticeable and the worst being specifically at pretty high RPM's when I'm getting on it and taking off wide open throttle. I started a simple process of elimination by checking the plug wires, which are brand new... they were all properly connected at both ends. I checked the plugs, also brand new and correctly gapped, for any build up... they were all clean. I reset the timing around 6 - 8 weeks ago as well. I'm about out of ideas, and am wondering if maybe a higher performance dist and coil such as PerTronix or MSD would fix this problem(?). I had planned on eventually making the switch regardless. What else could possibly be the cause?

I'll bet a quarter inch collects there every day, in a puddle beneath the vegetable crispers. I suppose it must be condensation. We lay a couple of thicknesses of towels in the bottom of the fridge and they get soaked and have to be wrung out every day. Since we're on the Gulf Coast where there is high humidity, maybe it has something to do with that ... but we haven't always had this problem. Can press gas and get some revs up but no power. Spark plugs wires and rotor bug replaced, dist cap very great shape no cracks. Fuel going in fine. No vacuum leaks. Coil does not get hot. Can leave it running pull any single plug and no change. No smoking, no water in pipes. Does smeel rich from right side pipe. No oil loss or water in oil. No water loss, just replaced timing cover gasket and timing was checked, strong clean and tight. Again was running fine daily then started farting. I have lived with it my whole life untill my Junior Year of High School in a Varsity Football game I get to that. I was 12 years old and I was given a medicine it is a downer (sleeping med) called Seraquel. I was on it till I was 17. I'm still currently 17 but I turn 18 in 3 months. I myself wanted to go into the Army and I have played Football for 8 years Baseball for 12 and Wrestled for 2 years. Thing is I quit Cold-Turkey. My mom was a nurse b/4 she got disabled which she tried wheening me off it. At 12 I was taking 25mg which I promise you could knock the hell out of anyone here. at 15 I was on 100mg. 125mg then back down to 100. Late November we were in Gulf Shores playing them just as a filler game. We stayed up there our whole Fall Break. That time I went completely off of it. I was going through the worst days of my life. No energy to play the football game. I had tremors cold and hot flashes no energy throwing up you name it i had it. Last Night I was really stressed out over some stuff but I guess my body wanted it. At this very moment as im typing this to you it feels like im going through the withdraws again. I can handle pain but not this. Someone please tell me what to do.

Look at the nails first make sure you see the pink (pink is blood)and white (or what ever the nail color is). File down before the pink (try to make it round, not as sharp then), that way you dont have to spend a lot on toys (sand paper toys are bad anyways) and its cleaner.

I've noticed as well that over the past four years each winter is lasting longer and colder for example the winter before last winter was cold but it only stayed below freezing for three weeks this winter was even colder and we even had about two foot of snow which lasted about 6weeks that is extremely long for the uk (central-north of it) and something has to had caused this. May it have been the gulf stream? And if it keeps slowing down will this winter be even colder? This summer is really cold too (well here in the north (ni) anyway) we had snow on the hills (500m) three weeks ago which is unheard of in ni in the summer! In 1981, my eight-year-old brother Andrew was kidnapped by a family acquaintance and held hostage for three weeks. During this time, he was routinely beaten and sexually abused by his captor. He was also burned with boiling water and forced to listen while his captor made crank calls to our family pretending to be the police, telling us that Andrew had been found. He was rescued after three weeks. It had taken that long to track him down because his captor had them moving around all the time. It's strange to me how a period of time as short as three weeks could destroy so many lives, and leave so many still broken after thirty years. Andrew's body recovered from the trauma, but his mind never healed. The Andrew that came back to us was not the Andrew we had previously known. Before the trauma, Andrew was very social and outgoing. We were only two years apart and always very close. I never had any other brothers or sisters. He was a sweet little boy with a good sense of humor, and, being an older sister, I teased him constantly. Not meanly, but in a playful way. He is the most ticklish person to ever walk planet Earth, and as a little kid he loved it when I tickled his feet. We wrestled and play-fought and just enjoyed being with each other. When he came back, everything changed. Andrew had always been close to me and my parents also, but after he came back he acted like he couldn't even stand the sight of us. I could never understand that. I thought he should be happy to be back with us, people who loved him. He told me when he was older that I was a stranger to him and that there was a gulf separating him from everyone else. He was resentful that other people hadn't been where he had been. When he first came back and started beng like that, I tried so hard to bring him back. I tickle-attacked him like I used to and even though he squirmed and laughed just the same, he didn't enjoy it at all. He wouldn't wrestle either, and didn't seem to want to be around me at all. He did well in school and never had issues with drugs and alcohol, he's been successful in life and has a wife and kids, but for the past thirty years you can tell that something in him is just gone. Something inside him died all those years ago and, despite this, I still hope so hard that I can bring him back. I still see him and our children play together, but that confidence is gone. He underwent counseling as a child and teen but it didn't help him and he doesn't see anyone anymore. I encourage him to see someone about his depression and the pain he still feels but he says it wouldn't make any difference. I'm sorry this post is so long but I just don't know what to do to help him. He's physically healthy and financially stable, but I want to be close to him again and my parents want the same. I was in an accident caused by a police chase. There was a robbery early in the morning but there were no suspects. Later that night police were on duty of the case of the robbery. The driver that hit me passed a few stop signs which police saw. The driver refused to stop after the police signaled him to stop. The police chasing the fleeing car, turned his sirens and lights off after realizing he couldn't "catch" up. Then the driver fled off in high speed running a red light which caused him to t bone my car on the passenger side. It caused my car to spin and hit a pole. I suffered both ankle fractures and multiple pelvic fractures. I had 3 surgeries on my left ankle and one surgery on the right ankle. No surgery was needed for the pelvis. I might need a fourth surgery on the left ankle depending on how the recovery goes. The driver that failed to stop suffered facial fractures. The passenger was ejected from the car causing vertebrae fractures and facial fractures. There was also a third car involved that was hit by the fleeing driver, the driver had minor injuries no broken bones, just scratches and bruises. My injuries have life long consequences, including arthritis and further surgery in the future. If the police was chasing a suspect, why would they turn off the lights and sirens. They are SUPPOSED to warn innocent drivers of the danger. Do i have a good lawsuit in my hands? I need answers, please !
