Biddison 1985 22 foot center console?

I just got offered a pretty good deal on a Biddison 22 foot center console. They are asking 4 grand, its been sitting in inside storage on a shelf for a while. It has been kept in great shape, there are no soft spots anywheres, and the owner is very meticulous about upkeep of belongings. Does anyone have any input on these boats? From what I hear these boats are built like a tank and are good for 20-30 miles out in the Gulf.
