Poll For young offenders, Military or jail?

With the alarming and rapid growth in crimes committed by youths, the search for an effective means of punishment instead of prison is being explored. In the 2008/2009 statistics on crime, boys recorded an unprecedented 65% increase in violence including assaults, murders, rapes and robberies compared to 1996/1997 while girls aged between 15-19 violence has jumped up by 40%. The statistics have proven the threat of jail as punishment for youths is a failure with the amount of crimes committed by young people soaring each year. Which is better military or jail?
