How can I convince my parents to let me get airsoft?

My mom wont allow anything gun-like in the house which leaves little probability of her letting me get them and my dad is like bu-dist or something and anti-violence, he doesn't like me killing spider in my room even. I don't know what to do and i would love if i could play air-soft with my friends who have it as well. For the sake of it i've never played but my friend says he'd show me how it works if my parents let me. please help, as you can see im in a bit of a situation. please help! thanks
