Should the Gulf Coast, Hill Country, and Rio Grande Valley unite and secede from Texas before the GOP ruins it?

Given what the Texas Legislature has done during this session, which will result in 100,000 elderly Texans being kicked out of nursing homes and the closing of one-third of Texas' schools, the closing of state parks and state colleges, and increasing unemployment to 11 or 12 percent while freeing the State Board of Education to require the teaching of junk science such as creationism — I'd support a secession from the rest of Bible Belt Texas completely.
