Is it useful to do part time(correspondence) MBA(HR/Finance) from Dist. Education for me? Please read full Q.?

If you want to get into the field of HR and make it your future career, then it is best to take up a full-time MBA program from a reputed B-School. This will help you get good placements in the campus once you complete the program. Distance or correspondence programs whether 1-year or 2-years are usually for people who are already having a career in the area and just want to enhance their skills for work experience. They will not help you in changing your career as many companies do not recognize part-time MBA programs as a qualification for career change. To get into PSU/Government sector, IGNOU's MBA might help as some government organizations consider it equivalent to regular MBA. But even then, you will have to go through the rigorous process of writing entrance exams and compete with a lot of people for very few open positions.
