I think it's adorable when guys like other guys, but I think you're reading to much into it. He probably just wants to chill with you to cheer you up, but don't lose hope! He could start to get into you soon. If you hang around him more often he'll get to know even more about you, maybe stuff he didn't know before, and he could start taking interest in you.
