Will my farsightedness get worse?

Ok I'm 20 about to turn 21 and just found out I'm far sighted. Never noticed it and the doc found it. My prescription is mild, +1.00 sph dist pd 32 for both eyes. I've had exams before, why was this never found and will it get better or worse? It's my understanding children who have this problem outgrow it. Is that the case for adults too? I guess its worth mentioning that my vision is slightly blurred at all distances but I can still make out detail. I assume that's because right now my eyes have a lot of accommodation. Sorry for all the questions.
